Transforming a Legacy Campus into a Sustainable, Accessible, and Future-Ready Workplace
Overview
A leading global technology company partnered with Vestian to transform its existing 18-year-old campus in Bengaluru, into a sustainable, smart, and accessible workplace. The project covered a total area of 212,000 sq. ft. across three blocks. The refurbishment included overall upgrades to all high- and low-side electrical systems, HVAC, fire alarm and protection systems, hydrants, and lifts. The mandate was to deliver a future-ready workspace that integrates modern technology, accessibility standards, and sustainability principles while strengthening the existing structure for long-term performance.

Solution
The refurbishment of an old facility within an operational technology campus posed several structural and coordination challenges. Mother slab and columns needed to be strengthened which demanded high-precision structural engineering. Upgrading legacy systems—including electrical, HVAC, and fire safety—within limited service spaces required intricate planning and sequencing. Integrating new energy-efficient systems and solar power solutions further necessitated cross-disciplinary coordination among multiple vendors and consultants.
Vestian adopted a comprehensive project management approach focused on structural integrity, sustainability, and accessibility. The existing HVAC systems were completely overhauled and replaced with energy-efficient, sustainable solutions. Structural reinforcement using laminated carbon wrapping technology enhanced load-bearing capacity and longevity. Interiors were redesigned to meet universal accessibility standards with height-adjustable workstations, compliant doors and lifts, tactile indicators, and Braille signage. POE lighting, solar panels, and chemical earthing further improved energy performance and safety. This project redefined the campus as a workplace designed for today's needs - inclusive, sustainable and uncompromising in quality, one that meets global standards of excellence.
