Designing a Future-Ready Workplace for a Global Automotive Leader
Overview
A global automotive manufacturer sought to expand its presence in India with a new 75,000 sq. ft. facility in Hyderabad. Vestian was appointed as the Design & Build partner to develop a workplace that reflected the organisation’s core values of authenticity, excellence and innovation. Using Vestian’s Define–Design–Deliver methodology, the team crafted a workspace that seamlessly embodied the company’s ethos while promoting collaboration and offering diverse work settings tailored to varied employee needs.

The project involved navigating multiple layers of complexity. A key challenge was blending global design sensibilities with local workplace expectations to create a culturally cohesive environment. The team also had to work around noise-related restrictions and SEZ compliance requirements, both of which posed risks to the delivery schedule. In addition, the facility’s specialised lab areas required high technical precision—demanding meticulous coordination to seamlessly integrate performance-driven engineering with the overall design vision.
Vestian conducted collaborative workshops to align design expectations, creating a workspace that balanced global design influences with local needs. Neutral tones, a feature wall, acoustic baffles, cloud ceilings, and carefully selected furniture together enhanced functionality, comfort, and overall cohesion. The lab was designed with 47 state-of-the-art safety workstations. Despite noise and SEZ-related constraints, coordinated planning ensured smooth progress and timely completion.
