Director – Business Development, Global Capability Centers

Compensation: Base salary $85,000 - $110,000 plus performance-based incentives

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Business Development professional to lead growth for our Global Capability Centers (GCC) and India Design & Build verticals. This role will focus on building trusted relationships with C-suite decision makers, identifying and developing new opportunities, and guiding prospects through complex decision cycles.
You will be responsible for creating qualified opportunities and advancing them through to close, working across workplace solutions, fit-out, and advisory-led engagements. Success in this role requires a consultative approach - listening to client needs, aligning solutions with business objectives, and positioning Vestian as a long-term partner.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a track record of success in complex B2B sales, comfortable engaging at the executive level, and adept at navigating long sales cycles with multiple stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
New Business Development
- Identify, target, and convert U.S.- based enterprises evaluating India market entry or expansion, especially through GCCs and workplace solutions.
- Build and manage a healthy funnel across sectors including BFSI, Technology, Life Sciences, Retail, and Industrials.
Client Engagement & Deal Closure
- Lead the full business development cycle — from lead qualification through proposals, presentations, solutioning, and closing.
- Partner with internal delivery and strategy teams to align capabilities with client needs across design, build, and advisory services.
- Coordinate with senior leadership and subject-matter experts, ensuring the right voices are engaged at the right time to strengthen client relationships and support successful deal closure.
Market Intelligence & Partnerships
- Track GCC announcements, leasing activity, and expansion signals to inform targeting.
- Develop partnerships with consultants, architects, industry associations, and intermediaries.
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with India-based P&L leaders, project management, and pre-construction teams to prepare compelling pitches.
- Coordinate with U.S. colleagues on global account strategy and cross-border pursuits.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or real estate qualification preferred.
- 5–12 years of business development or consultative sales experience, ideally in commercial real estate, design & build, GCC consulting, or workplace strategy.
- Demonstrated track record of securing and closing complex B2B mandates.
Skills & Attributes
Strong commercial acumen, with knowledge of project costing, timelines, and real estate metrics.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with confidence engaging C-suite stakeholders.
- Self-driven, persistent, and relationship-oriented, with a hunter mindset.
