Introduction
When a leading provider of software and data solutions for K-12 public school systems decided to expand into India, they turned to Vestian to guide their first steps in this new market. Our mission was to create a 45,174 sq. ft. facility in Bengaluru that would seamlessly blend their existing US work culture with local requirements, all within a tight 60-day timeframe. The project was located in Embassy Tech Village, an SEZ campus in Bengaluru, and needed to accommodate over 420 seats.
Challenge
We faced three main challenges in this project. First, we needed to align the design with US standards while meeting local and SEZ regulations. Second, we had to complete the project within a tight 60-day timeframe. Lastly, we had to manage the project remotely from the USA.
Solution
To address these challenges, we implemented several strategies. We finalized all designs and approvals before starting construction to ensure smooth execution. We assigned a dedicated team to handle SEZ-specific clearances, leveraging our local expertise. We implemented a unique open floorplan with collaborative spaces and recreational areas to match the client's US work culture. Throughout the project, we maintained consistent communication with the client.
The result was a 420+ seat facility completed on time. The office features phone booth-style collaborative spaces, cafés, and pantries on each floor. The design allows for unobstructed views across the entire floorplate from any point, successfully blending the client's US work culture with local requirements.
