A fast-growing firm that offers social media platform for companies—to enhance employee collaboration, increase social interaction and enable activity—sought the very same attributes to drive the creation of its new central office for 250 employees in Bangalore. The office was a consolidation of several existing offices, resulting in groups of employees working side-by-side for the first time. The space also needed to be aesthetically pleasing with elements of fun to attract top talent, and it needed to incorporate active design features and encourage social interaction to create an environment for collaboration and innovation.
As project consultant, Vestian designed and fit out an activity-based workplace with recreational and technology features, to make the work environment an extension of employees’ living space as well as to promote shared learning and social interaction. The open design features informal work cafes and breakout/collaborative areas with movable furniture for easy reconfiguration. Other amenities include an amphitheater, “kids’ room,” gymnasium and wellness rooms.
Timing was also a challenge, as the fit-out needed to be completed within 60 days. Vestian’s disciplined project schedules and procurement strategies ensured that the space was delivered on time and under budget. Vibrant wall art and other aesthetic elements reflect the company’s core values. The result: an engaging workplace where people are inspired to do their best work.
